Phila Man Arrested for Anti-Cop Thinking
West Phila. Man Arrested for Anti-Cop Rant on YouTube
by KYW’s Andrew Colton
A Philadelphia man is facing a number of charges after being arrested for posting a video on the public web site “YouTube.”
In his video titled “Dissin Philly Cops,” the man in the Youtube video is waving what appears to be a loaded gun as he says he rejoices when cops are shot in Philadelphia.
That was enough for Philadelphia police to arrest 44-year-old Andre Moore of the 4800 block of Walnut Street and charge him with aggravated assault, corruption of miniors, terroristic threats, and harassment.
Kevin Harley of the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office:
“The defendant posted the video on June 7th and it came to our attention in the last week or two. We identified who the defendant was and executed an arrest warrant.”
Harley says Moore was no longer enjoying a right to free speech when he made “what we allege are terrorist threats against Philadelphia police.”
Harley says Moore’s teenage son may have recorded the video. He says the corruption-of-minors charge was added because You ube is easily accessible by children.
Shortly after Moore’s arrest, his video was removed from Youtube “due to terms of use violation.”
